Literacy Tofu!

Literacy is like  tofu… it goes with everything!

Literacy goes with Social, it goes with Science, it goes with Math, it goes with Technology…

The more I look, the more excited I get, as this year my job is to inform the masses of my literacy discoveries.

One book that I finding very helpful is Nonfiction Writing Power by Adrienne Gear.

This book is especially helpful for planning nonfiction writing in Social Studies and Science classrooms.

Currently, I am looking through my own curriculum in grades 1-9 and looking for the natural connections to writing in Social Studies and Science.

What I have found is more than I expected…updates soon…
